Crows' Hermitage is a converted stone barn that feels like a secret you've just uncovered. Exposed stone walls and original oak beams frame floor-to-ceiling windows that gaze out over the ruins of a 13th century abbey and an English country garden that has matured for generations.

"We had our proposal here. We've already booked for our honeymoon."

The space is intimate and luxurious - an open plan living area with a cosy wood-burning stove, a well-equipped kitchen for lovers who cook, and a mezzanine bedroom accessed by a charming oak staircase. The shower room is modern and clean. Everything has been carefully thought through - there's even a basket of logs waiting when you arrive.

It's a place designed for two people to forget the world exists outside its walls. Perfect for anniversaries, romantic weekends, or anyone seeking quiet beauty a half hour from Dublin.

The barn has been my passion project since 2008. I love hearing from guests, answering questions, and helping plan the perfect romantic escape. Reach out with anything - local recommendations, early arrival options, anniversary details, or just to say hello.

Hi! Colm here. I've hosted nearly two decades of guests here - honeymooners, anniversary couples, and people just needing peace. Happy to help with anything about the barn.
Are there good restaurants nearby?
Absolutely. Ardcath has some wonderful spots. Dunshaughlin village is just 10 minutes away - I can send you a list when you book. Also happy to suggest picnic options or cooking inspiration.
